Virgin Tivo Box

Just got one of these, must say it's well better than the old Scientific Atlanta +HD box i had 15 months ago..

This box makes VM worthwhile.. It was the crappy box that made me go back to Sky, Oh and the 12 months for ?25 (Full HD / Movies & Sport)..

Must say.. Impressed and happy to be back on Virgin TV with this piece of equipment

the adds showing it seems like a nice bit of kit,probably works better with a sub

it's the same size as a sky HD+ box.. The main idea of TiVo is the ability to record multiple shows so a reminder is unnecessary

I am thinking about getting one of these, when the boxes went off I just had basic tv and downloaded whatever I wanted to watch.
Now freeview is driving me nuts!! It was either sky+ or Virgin, but I think the TiVo swung it for me in the end

You cannot have TiVo on TV M. You will need to move to, at least, the first chargeable tier level, TV M+.

I know, I have the xl package on now, didnt take too long to come on. bit put off with the cost of the boxes mind ?50 for 500gb or ?100 for 1tb, being as though sky give theirs away for nothing

Isn't the 1TB Sky box at least ?49 and the standard box only a quarter the size of the 1TB box?
Does either Sky box have three tuners?
...so not really comparing like for like?

Apart from cost, tivo 500gb is ?49 plus ?3 a month rental.

Ok finally bought the 1tb box, ?100 activation bollox fee, free installation. Lady on phone said, you want to put the old box upstairs, I said no not paying multi room, she said no we will install for nothing and no extra charge for multi room. Happy with that, so top BB, top TV and M phone, with multi room ?83 month with TiVo box
