    Virgin help

Sorry chaps not that sort of virgin i need help with but my box

I have had a dodgey box for years now and bought a updating one the other year and like everyone else it went off a few months back and then after a few weeks the channels started to reappear and then the box started saying INVALID MAC !!!

I phoned the lad who sold me it and he took it away and ive never heard anything back and he wont answer my calls.

I cant take much more of this pauper tv and want to buy another one (that is if they still are working) but dont know what to buy or how much they are.

Can anyone point me in the right direction

    Thanks

Perhaps some use of the search function will help you steal TV if that's what you want to do.

perhaps just answering his question will help..

cable tv; you have two choices (well 3 if you count dreambox, and for the reason that servers are like hens teeth, its probably best we dont)
      so two choices
      kryptview a780
      or starview6 with lan/starview 7
both are rubbish in my, and others opinions, as a read thrrough the relevant sections will show you..nothing but problems.
However, starview require paying for this service and kryptview do not (atm).
so there you have it, if you MUST have cable, then those are choices.
however, for around the same money or less than either of those boxes, you could get a sat system.
      good things about sat:
you can start off small, with say a dreambox 500s and a sky minidish; and then upgrade to newer box, bigger dish etc. the choice of boxes is mindboggling
the other difference between sat and cable is like the diffference between hull and the civilised world. in hull, you are tied down to one bb provider, (as in cable, tied down to one server) in the civilised world (read sat), you are free to chop and change as many times as you want if you are not happy.

      Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

Perhaps you should look at my posts and establish whether all my answers are like that or that is the exception?
