    Virgin tv signal

Have Virgin changed their tv signal strength? The reason I ask is my on demand (iplayer etc)suddenly stopped working.I'm running a split signal to kitchen to get freeview on defunct dbox2.
I called out engineer and he promptly disconnected the split and ran a new length of cable from wall box. straight into vbox and on demand started working again.
After he'd gone I tried to split the signal as before and guess what -on demand stopped working again!

i tkink you have just answered that question yourself..

i would think that what you have said the splitter is literally splitting the signal strenth..

    i may be wrong..

VM are always fiddling with local signal strenth but you should usually have a high enough signal to allow for one splitter (modem/digibox).

Check your signal strength with and without the splitter installed to see what loss is occuring.
