no audio/no data display
i keep having no audio/no data display coming on. it comes on for about 5-10 seconds and it goes back to normal?

Sounds like either a signal problem or box tuner problem,
Would this be happening on all channels or just the occasional few.
as nige said what equipment do you have ? ,
I would also check to make sure all the f connectors correctly made off, and even check the cable these drop outs can be caused by a whole host of problems ie >
1. Signal too weak, (Remove any splitters and connect directly to isolator) and try again.
2. Signal too high, Attenuator required to reduce signal and SNR.
3.Check cable, Quiet a few people have run standard satellite cable around the house FT100 although this is a 75ohm cable it will not tollerate the high frequencies like the RG6 or RG59 supplied by the cable company as these have a better composition with less signal loss due to the way the cable is shielded.
Impedence of the cable can also be changed if the cable has been folded or a tack has gone through the outer plastic sheath and is touching the copper braid (shield).
All the above factors could potentially cause you the problems you are experiencing.
Do you have any VM equipment ? that you can connect up to get into the engineers menu in order to check signals and snr ?
And obviously see if the same thing happens on other equipment.Comment
