    Analogue TV

    i have a very old analogue box with chip in when i last try the
    box it work ok about 1 year ago,took around a m8 house to try
    and would not work, (box was all way hard to get going but you could) i live in oxford is analogue tv still going or has it been turn off.

    There are still some areas that can only receive analogue signals, while the VM infastructure is slowly being upgraded to digital both analogue and digital services will still have to be provided.
    I would be very surprised if VM have stopped feeding analogue services in your area.
    Problem is a lot of elderly people still have analogue equipment and although VM have tried to offer a upgraded package at no additional cost's,the elderly don't like change and this is causing something of a stumbling block.
    Are you getting any channels at all on the analogue box,or do you have any digital equipment you can plug in to see if the feed is still live.

      Analogue was switched off in Oxford on 3rd November 2008.

          Some areas in Bolton still only have the analogue signal (like mine) and according to VM wont be switching to digital until 2012 even though they are turnining the analogue signal off in November 09.
