the bigger the screen the worse the picture qualty anyways,i find a 42 inch ok my young un has a 32 inch tft in his bedroom and the picture is class, i am thinking of getting the new panasonic 46 inch with the free sat hd built in,50 inch to big for what i need anyways, you can get a 50 inch cheaper than a good 42 inch now,get a pioneer if you want to be flash,or maybe a b&o plasma, and has for a hifi, well i love my bang and olufsen,cd system on my chimney breast wall it looks way better than a 50 inch plasma,

A dreambox 500c is very good for standard definition,i have a Humax HD freesat box for high def on BBC,ITV,the tuner on it for standard freesat is not very good,a tad soft.

I have a Panasonic TH-42XP80 plasma, not 1080p,but i can't see the difference between standard HD and 1080p,i have compared the same blu ray film, with a 42" 1080p TV and standard high def 42" TV and i couldn't see any difference.Maybe if you have a 60 inch screen, you may see a little difference.Another thing that alot of buyers don't realise is that SKY,BBC,ITV all the HD channels only broadcast in 720p,not 1080p.You only get 1080p with high def dvd,Blu ray,HD.

Pioneer Kuro is meant to the best on the market, blacker blacks and all that crap, buyer a Panasonic plasma if you are in the market for a large high def television, don't buy an LCD.

As I have grown older I have discovered the the size of my penis in proportion to my TV has changed proportiontly.
                              for example: when I was 20 I had a 22" pye tv.
                              35 years later I have a 60" plasma
Obviously I blame radiation from the screen......
