I have an old Samsung 2100c which i use in the bedroom for the freeview channels. 1-5 i can receive fine and also ITV2+1.
The problem is i cannot get ITV2, ITV3 or ITV4 or any of the other +1 channels. Any help would be appreciated please.

its prob cause they av blacklisted the box and cut the card off m8, best to get sly m8 lots free channels on the horror channel etc...hope this helps m8

The problem is there's really no such concept as freeview on cable. Apart from the few channels you've already discovered the rest are encrypted so need an active card.

If you subscribe to VM broadband and phone then they will often give you a box/card on the lowest tier for free. The lowest tier should not cost you anything more than what you already pay for broadband/phone. This is the closest thing to freeview your likely to get from VM.

best to get sky m8, get a dish up and get a sky box off ebay you get lots of fta channels on them

You may find BBC news, BBC3 and BBC4 fta too.

But all ITV are fta on terestial along with Dave etc....

VM dont really decide these things - its the channel operators themsleves that decide which tier they wish their channels to be in.

Your right though, there are some very strange inconsistancies through the various platforms. Easiest solution (for me at least) was to just get some cheap freeview boxes (?15 apiece).
