    Box & seller Recommendations

I have just moved into a new property and the signal from the arial is terreible. C4 is about the only watchable channel, however i spotted an NT Cable poinbt in my living room and am told it was active less than a year ago (so i am assuming it still works). Now i have decided to purchase a box and have read up a bit but was wondering if anyone fancied venting their particular recommendations of which box and where to purchase it from. A couple of my requirements are:

    Quick delivery
    Cheap (preferebly less thna ?100)
    Good support on these forums
Easily modifiable with plenty of software and tutorials for all the relevent things i would need to do to it.

It seems a 500C clone is my best option but i am sure i havnt fully scouted out/understood the other boxes features.

    Thanks in advance!

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of any non linux box, the DB 500C is a good box but the clones have a weak ass tuner so beware who you buy it from. My personal opinion to anyone just starting out is the Itgate 210 (babypearl)or 220 (blackpearl) they are linux based boxes with a support system second to non (and thats not an exaggeration) you will get a speedy delivery and the box is plug in scan and your on. The themes are easily edited or downloaded and the tutorials for doing extra stuff are straight forward for any noob to do. Go to the forum satkings.org to check it out. The only issue i see with your request is the box costs around ?150 but believe me its money well spent.

?150 is still reasonable but i am really just after the very basics. My TV is currently unwatchable and all i want to do is get decent signal and a few extra channels would be a bonus. Would the extra money be well spent if really all i was doing was stealing a bit of cable? Im not oo interested in streaming it to my pc wirelessely or any of that crazy buisness.

            done fine for me.

go for the dreambox mate. it will more than likely come with the digital kaos image preflashed. you want support? this is the place especially for that image.
i was brand new to dreambox once and the guys on here had me up and running in less than 1 hr.
