    ferguson ariva 120 combo froze

    hi there, i got a ariva 120 combo a few weeks ago and today it stuck on 1 channel and wouldnt respond to the remote, when i powered it off and back on again it just says ON on the display on the front of the box and thats it, it wont do anything else, any suggestions much appreciated.....OZ

              dont you need to access the menu to upgrade the firmware on those
              if so then only option is to return it and get another

              were you using the patched firmware for cs by any chance ?

                  yes i think you need to get into the menu to upgrade the firmware via USB, i wasnt using a patched firmware or anything, just using what came installed on it, i have emailed the place i bought it from so i'll see what they have to say.

                      right this is an update, i turned off the box last nite and when i turned it back on this morning it came back on but its stuck on one channel, this was the original problem, i dont want to turn it back off because it wouldnt turn back on the last time i did that, anybody any suggestions....?

                          does the remote respond ?
                          if it does then try an update via usb

                              have one of these boxes coming tomorrow ans going to have a play with the patched firmware has anyone tryed these boxes on the net with the patched firmware ????

                                  anybody english instructions on how to upgrade the firmware via RS232, i can only find them in polish or something like that, i have the relevant file and loaders ready to go, i just dont want to be guessing and brick the box completely.

                                      I tried it a few weeks ago, they are hit and miss, I see lots of freezing being reported

                                      here is the fw if you want to have a play with it
