dm500 black screen

does anybody know why my dm500 just only displays black screen for almost all of the free channels?

What is SNR for the FTA channels? Is it possible your dish is not aligned properly ?

almost 100% Does it have to do something with QAM?

Sorry I didn't realise you are using a cable box. Have copied the files for auto updating your dm500 and set it to use Evocamd 2.14?

Hm, I am using dreamUp and flashed Gemini_0431auNC.img. Is it probably the wrong file or release? Or, is there a "how-to" description in this forum somewhere?

If you are in the UK than you could use the Dk 1.1 or the Pli Jade image. For guide check out the RED stickies in the cable dreambox section. Have a look through this to start with;

The images are not country specific but what you need to know is the symbol rate for your cable provider. You could google for the impression and than do a mnual scan using the symbol rate.
