    DM800 broken tuner?

Hello, 2 days ago i decided to buy a clone 800-C (cable tuner) (500-C clones worked fine) first problem came up, it was not finding any channels.. i looked on internet and tried everything, it looks like the tuner is broken or the software is not working with it?

when i install newest gemini and do a scan, its not finding anything, when i try 1 transponder then it works for the channels on it. but a full scan on 1000khz is not working..

when i place bouquets on it, its working! it tells me 82% signal strength on the channels. but a full scan should work? (i always worked with cables.xml on 500C)

so i tried to install newest Pli, and placed the bouquets and it tells me 33db on channels.. (to low so wont see a thing) and on pli all scans dont work..

can someone tell me is this dreambox broken or?

If you enter the default transponder for your area and select a single transponder scan with Network search ON, does that work?

hmm, i got most channels working with my cables.xml its possible to upload it to /var/etc/tuxbox and go to tuner setup and select it.. but its not finding everything and im sure the transponders/freqs are in the file.. maybe the signal strength is not oke? (cant be the cable) its 0.5m from the green cable.

          Maybe indeed bad tuner?

Oke , i got it! its in the tuner config.. if others have the problem to.. solution

                place correct cables.xml in /var/etc/tuxbox

                go to tuner setup
                choose the searchmethode -> Provider
Search on Provider -> your region (from the cables.xml)
                press ok

now go to search MANUAL (NOT AUTO)
                choose Complete
                Network search NO
                and ok

                now i got

Edit: so it was not MY cables.xml all it was is the Network search that needs to be on NO

it is not 100% fixed i can find max 302 channels, and there are more. its very strange, when i create a empty cables.xml with only 1 transponder (missing channels) and i give the command to search, it says nothing found.. (its only on a few transponders) when i place channel list on it that someone created, the channels on that transponder are working fine with 80% SNR.. is this a signal problem or software/tuner ? i hope someone can give me a answer
