New guy looking for info

Hi, new guy here

I'm not a tech noob but I am quite new to the concept of these cable/sat boxes as such. I've been going through many forums looking for the right information, but seem to be getting a lot of conflicting info.

Anyway, I have a basic virgin media box at the mo, along with it's broadband and want to get a cable receiver to get the most out of it all.

I'm hearing that Dreamboxes etc.. are pretty useless these days, is that right? Is there anything you'd recommend for a cable user like myself who doesn't want to switch to satellite? Is there any work around at all that isn't ridiculously complicated?

Starview or kryptview mate thats about it ..............

If you get a starview i think they now come with a six mont gift then its 25 for six months or 45 for 12 months......

No sub with kryptview..................
