    Fibre Optic

    Ok Guys im thinking of upgrading to 50mb Fibre optic broadband from VM . Can someone who has the Fibre optic please confirm whether i would be able to continue using my Eurovox ex5000. Ive searched all forums but cant find anything about changing out set top boxes.

    hows it set up at the moment? do you have a TV package at all? is your internet currently with VM or another company?

    I am using 2 eurovoxes together with fibreoptic broadband

      I have the 20mb broadband / unlimited telephone calls and basic tv package all with VM

        does the internet go through your set top box or is it seperate?

          There is a splitter on the wall . 1 lead runs to tv reciever and 1 to the modem in other room.

            thats how mine is - it wont affect your stb at all. just make sure u plug in your VM box whilst u ring them and wait for the upgrade incase they try to communicate with it. The upgrade should be pretty much instant they don't need to visit or anything

              I have to have Fibre Optic installed by an engineer and i want the 50mb so i need a new moden and wireless router. Ive just got to remember to hide me Eurovox
              Only downside is ive got to pay ?30 installation and a 1 off fee of ?50 activation
