Pace 4001 video output problem

Hi all, I have a pace 4001 nc here , trying to read info from engineer menu using the scart lead but although the box displays ' dIAL' nothing on the tele, I tried the rf output, still nothing...
So can't see anything so like to set the frequency etc...I know the netid will set itself up but I need to set the frequency 1st...
When connected directly without going to em, the normal 'vm powering up, plz wait...' comes on so the scart is working but not for em...strange.....plz any help????

is it a fully wired scart?
the pace might be in rgb mode and your scart cable might only have composite wiring.

Unscrew the compression fitting between the scart and the cable, slide it down the cable, then open the head by well pulling it apart (some versions have clips so a knife or a precision screwdriver to unclip those might be of use) and have a look and see if all 21 pins are connected.

You would be surprised how often ive ome across this with family and friends.
