trying to stream advise from lapton to big tv

hello ,is this poor quality hdmi lead when i try to stream from laptop to large tv , either no picture or no sound, can you advise me please rodds

i think you just have to set your graphic card up. you have to select the " clone " option on the display menu and it should then put the laptop picture and sound on your tv.
