as the thread says - i did a silly thing last week i have always used Starview cable boxes but when they went down i got a V+ HD box from virmin as i already had their cable modem that i had from the old NTL days in 2001 and 2 cable feeds 1 to the front room and another to my back room my wife is still using the old starview in the front room to watch freeview chanels but she was getting on my nerves every month saying that her chanels had gone off so i had to do a rescan, so i decided to get her a TiVo box from ebay thinking that -- it would show all the free view chanels 
but all that i get is Activating please wait shit i left it on all night and still Activating 
so it looks like i have bought a lemon not realy bothered as i can use the 500 gig HD but i have been told that i will have to contact virmin to get it activated 
but wont virmin frown on me for buying a second hand TiVo box as it probably still belongs to them and will take it away

, and yes again vermin will frown at wot uve done as all vermin boxes belong to them at all times, plus they will wont to know were u got it from then they will come and pick it up, my advice flog it on the bay, cut ur losses..chris...
