iTgate or open media which is Best..

Hi .. Need some suggestion ..really confused which box to get my choise is itgate 210 but its pricy ?150..but i read that open media is as good ..but cant seem to find much support on open media on different forums...
any help would be appriciated..

well there is a section on here for open media so you will get support. open media supports both cable and sat - dont know a great deal about the itgate boxes but wasnt aware that they did - so i would recommend open media out of the two for that alone - plus they are only ?90.00.

I'm very new to all this but after a few weeks of reserch I bought an openmedia last week.

Much better picture on sat than my standard sly box.

I've got nothing to compare the cable side to but it does everything you could want it to and the picture is excelant on that to.

I don't know much about the itgate but looks UGLY.

itgate has component output ,,, i assure you best picture quality would need be from this...

You need to decide if you are only ever going to use cable or likely to go to the satellite route in the future. If your not likely to go to the sat route in the near future than the choice boils down to itgate and a dm500c because the the openmedia boxes are a dreambox clone except they are a dm500s and dm500c in one box.
