upscaling cable boxes with markus 750

Hi
anyone tried upscaling their cable box with the new markus 750 media centre hd box?
the claims are that it will if poss upscale to 1080i & 1080p when ever possible,the upscaling on the ex 7000hd is only around 526.
Would like to here a few neutral views before i commit.

ex7000dh will upscale to 1080i, but you must use a hdmi cable to connect it,never tried the markus 750

Cant vouch for cable box ,,, dont have cable
have seen it upscaling a dm500 satellite
the differnece is almost unbelievable .. :P
it does indeed upscale anything via hdmi to 1080i
