Best make of box to choose

    Hey All,

If you couldn't guess all ready from the title of the thread, im a bit of a novice at all this jibber jabber:P

So i thought i would start my DK education by putting it out there:

What make of box would you recommend for a first time buyer with regards to reliability and ease of use?

    Cheers!

It all personal choice, how much you want to spend, how much you want to play with it and the things you want it to do.. The question has been asked so many times that you are best reading what has been written before.. Have a play with search function and read all you can.

I use a Sagem Dbox2. Its really easy to use and set up streaming and recording from(depending on the image its flashed with). When anything goes wrong, its easy to fix. Hope this helps.

If your looking for an easy box to setup and use then it's gotta be the Kryptview , channel mapping is identical to VM and the latest flash seems to have solved previous crashing issues , plus the fixes for this box have been released before any others

If you like to 'play' , know how to use ftp and linux then it's the dreambox all the way , it has a few more tricks up it's sleeve than the Krypt ...but some people can't get on with it as they don't have the skills needed.
