is it worth geting a new box for ireland. i have two eurovox 5000
i would personly hold off buying any box for use in ireland at the present time, until we see what happens if nagra 3 is implemented, and it does look as if it will be hear fairly soon.
Typical ,Dublin=Ireland waffle .
There are lots of areas in Ireland still unaffected by the Nagra 2/3 switch but that may change
All Chorus MMDS areas are still running on Nagra 1.
They might not and according to their statement it will be the third quarter before full migration
They are well behind schedule at this stage to be honest, they seem to be dragging their heels.

I've been asked to download the best firmware for watching Ch0rus MMDS on a DM500T in the Southwest of Ireland (for someone who doesn't have an internet connection). Do I need the "Digital Kaos v1.1 Image for Dm500 C/S/T", is this still the best? Will this be of any use to them without internet access, or will they have to regularly download keys? If not, how often to the keys need updating?
Also I'm not sure I understand what's going on with n1, n2, n3, are these "Nagra 1, 2, 3"? Are these different encryption versions, 1 and 2 are broken, 3 isn't? Fanos said that all Ch0rus MMDS is n1, are they looking to switch everyone over to n3, it's taking time, but it's only a matter of time? If so, was the third quarter mentioned earlier likely to bring a switch to n3 and this box will become useless?
Is there a page or thread that provides an idiot-proof guide to this? The forum FAQ is somewhat too general, Devilfish's guide was far more helpful but there's still a lot I'm missing, dispite lurking for a few hours.
