now then i just wondered if any 1 knew the answer to this ,if v/m do change to nag 3 would we all with legite boxes have to have a new box from v/m to be able to receive v/m cable tv ,i ask this because the installers are still giving the the same old samsung boxes i have had for almost 4yrs ,or is it just the change of card needed .cheers lads

Not every Receiver in poland could take the N3 Switch only selected receivers like the Ferguson FX 7600 which is one of the main receivers issued when subscribed to there service, the reason for this was the card update sent out via satellite for these cards to work only worked on these selected receivers.
Many subscribers throughout Poland had to update there hardware for the N3 card to work !
As for Virgin It likely that the present Receivers will take a new firmware and updated viewing card, what remains to be seen will other cable receivers take and work using the new N3 card some will but Im sure many wont, mainly due to the processor and levels of Ram built into the receiver.

and if you take into account that recently a fair few pace 1000 boxes struggled to take a normal update and locked up in a loop then i think veergin will find N3 a very expensive move !.
some of the pace boxes are getting on for 10 years old and are on their last legs now.Comment
