I bought these for family only, as they were the cheapest option of getting satellite in the bedrooms, as far as the fontera goes i will let you know how they go....... if they are shite i will say so.
As far as DVB are concerned i can only speak as i find. if i have problems with the 800HD ..... Delivery or service i will also let you know......... I also hate BAD sevice or ANY company that rips you off.

hey no worries, I just have a pet hate about crappy kit and clone boxes (and people who tailgate on motorways) that don't do what they are supposed to and cause our members no end of hassle.. If you know what your doing with them then crack on... I personally do not recommend any seller but then i will not buy a clone, but thats just my personal preference... I like the idea of warranty and service from the manufacturer and (fingers crossed) have not had a single problem. If i do get an issue I know i can get it sorted in the UK.

Yep. I ordered with them about a month ago and received a unit to CE in 5 wokring days, unfortunately the item is broken (you can't receive horizontally polarized channels).

I spent 3 days trying to get it work (as I was new to all this I though it was me doing something wrong)

        Support after nearly a month == 0

They've asked me to make a VIDEO of the problem - so spent more time and since they're playing the dead bug to my queries.

        You have been warned.

Ok, received my db800 in five days, it came loaded with gemini image,(told me it would have kaos image). The mac address is coming up as genuine.
It has taken 3days to get it set up the way i want, but that was due to work commitments. I have found the db runs fairly hot, but dont know if that is normal. The pictures are far superior compared to my DB 500.
Regarding la fonera wi fi, it will be next weekend before i have a chance to play with those.
As far as DVBmonkey i cannot fault the service, (but dont know what its like to send something back, and hopefully never have to).
          regards lone

There are threads on numerous forums warning their members to steer clear of DVB Monkeys. Buy at your own risk.

Im beginning to think we should remove all reference to dvbmonkey form these forums or just put up a big warning sign "DONT BUY FROM DVBMONKEY" This brings me back to my idea of 1 single thread with seller listed and we all have a chance to rate them on their quality, service, warranty etc... would also reduce the new threads of where can I buy dreambox etc..

I bought from DVB monkey a few months back.. was delivered very quickly and worked. Only issue was the diseq switch they said was included wasnt, and when i emailed them about it, I got some crappy reply about them not being technical???

DVB monkey sell clones.. so why not do without the headache and buy a clone from the UK.. the few extra quid saved would be worth it i'm sure.

                    No problems with service

I know of three people who have ordered a 500 clone from these guys (spread by word of mouth) and all got them fairly quickly (< 7 days) without problems...

You take the risk I guess from buying overseas - with a 500 you probably would be mildly pi$$ed off but not devastated at receiving a brick, but I really wouldn't want to splash out lots of money on a dead or faulty expensive box HD or recording version if there was no easy way to return it....

You pay postage both ways, nearly as much as the box again.
