    Free broadband?

Hellooooo all, my friend moved out of his house, his mum got v*rgin m*dia broadband disconnected as he was the only one who used it, when he moved back he borrowed a cable modem (sb4100 i think) from a friend, plugged it in and all the light lit up meaning free broadband for him, 20mb as well! which suprised me beacuse i thought they had to register the modems mac address on there side, he only pays for TV. I tried the same my self to no avail as the online light wudnt come on. Is it possible to maybe jtag the modem in some way or maybe do it in a similar way to how we receive free cable on eurovoxes etc? thanks for any help!

i know of many cable customers who continue to receive broadband after disconnections. My friend has been on line for free for close to 2 years now. Tiscali also have the same problem. if you call to cancel your internet they will stop the billing but the broadband will still be there for ever

its all very well taking all the time, how do you suppose vm will stay afloat if all we do is take, take, take. surely its not too much to ask if people subscribe to at least either bb or minimum tv then they will keep investing in their services.

virgin in some shape or form turn over 11billion a year....know wonder the 5th bee gee has invested in Brawn GP....virgin are ok for cash......

free tv and free b/band is fine...for those who can be bothered to `spend time` getting the `knowledge`,,,,the majority will be happy to pay.

long live free....apart from air...and i`m sure if they could tax that we`d pay...there is very little free nowdays....except a smile...and when i watch my Dbox...i smile.
