    Which receiver...?

    Hi everyone,

Just come across this forum and hoping someone could give me some advice.

I have recently taken the plunge and dropped my sky sub and signed up for cable instead. I have set up a kryptview box in the past for a friend with very little trouble.

What Id like some advise on is, what is the current best receiver on the market? I am not worried about the price, but ideally would want something which will give me same sort of features as i had with my old sky+ box. Also if it supports the HD channels even better.

    Any advise really appreciated.

    Thanks

There's no "best" option when it comes to choosing boxes, it usually just comes down to personal preference.

The eurovox ex7000 HD+ sounds like a good option for you based on your needs. It supports HD up to 1080i, although BBCHD is the only HD channel at the mo. You can also add a USB hard drive for recording. This however will not be as good as Sky+ because you cannot watch another channel simultanoeusly.

If you want that feature the go for the Dreambox 7025, as this has a twin tuner, but is much more expensive and not as user friendly to set up.
