Where are you, UK or Ireland? This will have an impact your choices... What kind of money do you want to spend, or waht is your maximum? Do you want to access it from the net or other computers in your house? Do you want to record to it? Did you realise that there is only one HD channel BBC HD on catv? Do you like the idea of playing around with a boc or do you want one that is as near plug and play as you can get?

With answers to the above questions the guys can advise you, or you could have a read of this section of the forum as you will see your question gets asked and answered a few times every week ...

As mentioned there is only really bbchd on cable. Sky has quite a few hd channels but even then I don't think its anywhere near 30.
I think Nige meant "box" (unless he is suggesting you buy Blue Oyster Cult tickets instead). You can get a dreambox dm800 but is it worth it for 1 hd channel?

Eurovox ex7000HD, nice looking box, less than ?200, channel lists are a bit fiddly but not a bad choice

Just get a eurovox for around ?100. Im no expert as I have a cloned eurovox from 2006 buts its still working fine for me :-) (although I still have to put codes in cause I havent reflashed it!). Yeah around ?100 should get you what you need, dbox is a little more, starview ive heard are okay too. They all do the same, PVR means it can record tv, thats what im going to upgrade too, youd be surprised at how many programs you tape when you can!!!

Oh and make sure you dont buy a clone!!!!
