PC Cable Reciever (pci or usb) Ideas required.

Is there a pci or usb cable reciever.
In the satellite world, I had a reciever like this
(used prog dvb)
Still works, really good. though I dont have the steerable dish now.
I would llike to do the same for a cable reciever.
What i really want to do is to use something like the
Prog dvb media server so that i can stream channels to
laptops etc within my own network.
Any ideas?
Any better solutions?

I suppose there would have to be a software cam
running (prog dvb supports this)

there is such a piece of kit and there is a thread on it somewhere on DK although it was sometime last year..
