Differences in Cable boxes

I joined this forum to learn about the cable tv and ended up with a Eurovox ex5000 which is working fine and I am happy with, good for noobs. Having moved onto the xbox 360 forum I have been chatting to another memeber who has a dreambox.

We have been comparing notes on our boxes and I beleive that when scanning, the dreambox is able to pick up all channels and name them correctly. On my eurovox most channels are picked up but quite a few have to be renamed because their name is incorrect or just not there.

My question. Is there a cable box receiver out there which is able to scanand pick up all channels with their correct names.

i've had a dbox2 and a dm500, running both enigma and neutrino images, all conbinations brought up th correctly named channels, except some of the pron channels (NVOD??)

which ones are u having problems with?

NOt really having any problems, it's just a pain when VM change channes and you have to rescan. On the Eurovox all the channels are there but some are unnamed so you have to pend a good few hours finding what channel it is and then renaming it.

I also get a lot of duplicates of the same channel after a deep scan. Is there a dreambox with the PVR function?

i think : SMS The Dreamboxshop official distributors of Dream- multimedia satellite receivers. is an official reseller of dreambox equipment in the UK, so it's best to buy from them so you don't get a dodgy clone or have any problems with customs (when u buy from China)

but i've not used them before, and there's others out there.

i hate my EV coz of this prob! you rescan and you lose the names for half the channels and when you flick through the channels so you can rename them you get a random big c0ck in your face doin sum1 up their backside..not too funny when your parents are around
