my mate has jus moved in 2 a virgin media area so hes looking to buy a box to work on his cable line so what box should he get n also i hav heard that virgin media are changin to nag3 or summat like that is it true or jus sum crap?

I would personally get a linux based one, dreambox 500c,itgate,dbox2 etc. You can always put it away for future use when it rolls out again. In a few years. Your taking a chance on buying anything at the moment.

was going to get sekfitgate my but have kryptview and it's a steady box (though mines crashed twice) while channel hopping

If you go dreambox 500c bear in mind they're discontinued and so are only clones. Also be aware that certain gemini images distroy dreambox 500c clone boxes
