    Which Box

    Hello all,

I live in Dublin and want to replace my sv3, what do you recommend, also can someone explain what linux is and is it recommended for dublin, also is it possible to get a box to work on HD.

    Thanks

At the moment Kryptvu look the best cable box for Dublin.
Open media, D-box2, Dreambox [all LINUX tuners] are a better option,
though they are fairly complex to set up .
HD boxes are a bit pricey, and there are few channels broadcasting HD

            why buy a box ?

i have a sv3 and have had no problems with the box or all the updates and stuff that go with it.allso have had many other boxs and have not had problems just upgraded year on year.the problem i find now is there is nothing to see unless you like to see old programs that were shit always on and even the moves **** i can get them of the bay years before they are shown on this shower of shit.how anyone can pay a subscription and feel they get value for money is beyond me.apart from the sports the football thats the only thing worth buying the box for if you like live football.
