If Virgin Media Change to Nagra 2/3......?

What can we expect to happen?

    1. Will there be card/box changes by Virgin to enable such a change, therfore giving us all prior warning?

    2. Is it possible to go from N1 straight to N3 or will they transition through N2 first like NTL Chorus have done?

    3. Presumably if they only chnage to N2 we will likely receive patches (as has been the case with many boxes) but what is the likelyhood of a Nagra 3 update, is it still true that it has yet to compromised anywhere in the world? WHats the situation in other countries like the USA?

    Also....

    4. What boxes (other than Linux) are likely to be able to cope with a Nagra 3 fix if it ever became available? I have read a few people suggesting that the Eurovox EX7000 should be able to support it, any truth to this? And would the Eurovox people support it anyway as they haven't shown that much support for the Irish of late? Any other non linux boxes capable?

Of course most of this is specualtion atm as they may never make the switch but just wanted to know (and I think many others do as well) what to expect if the shift does occur.

Sorry for all the question but any input is appreciated

    Cheers

Indeed, this is another factor, but is this likely to be an issue in the short term? (next year or 2?) surely this will take a while to complete and to get everyone chnaged over...in the meantime the old system will have to continue?
