The only annoying thing is not the fault of the sv4 but that some channels decide to broadcast there programmes in a kind of super widescreen format. I have a 32 inch widescreen but sometimes when i watch s#y mov1es i still get black borders on the top and bottom of my screen. I could configure my tv to fit the picture but then it would just be stretched which is even worse in my opinion. It's only the latest releases which seem to broadcast like this! Was thinking of complaining to s#y but then i thought they might ask me for my account number or something!

Thanks for the tip, yea i tried it but the ''full screen'' still shows black borders on some movies.

That's not a fault or annoying, that is the film being shown in the full ratio. Movie lovers (like myself) would be well annoyed if they weren't shown in their full ratio.

Many many films have been 21:9 (2.35:1) for years and years, it's not something new, just widescreen TVs were never built wide enough (only 16:9) - 21:9 films were out a long long time before 16:9 TVs.

We've been campaigning for channels to show films correctly, thankfully most are, that does mean even on widescreen TVs you get bars at the top and bottom, however not as big as they would be on non-widescreen TVs.

One thing I hate is when broadcasters crop films down to fit a TV screen, just because a few 'women' complain it has black bars and they think they are missing something.
