Do I still need a Virgin sub?

I'm proposing a move from SkyHD to a motorised dish and am looking to move my DB500C from the back into the living room and then putting the dish set up in the back with a 500S principally.

My question is, will I need to continue to sub for Virgin TV? We currently already sub for internet & phoneline, which we will continue to do so. But if we cease the cable sub, will we still be able to use the dormant connection for Virgin?

Will it affect any call backs? Our Dreambox doesn't call back anyway but I do have the line split with a VBox plugged in. And will Virgin disconnect the cable at the outside box if we wish to cancel subs?

    Thank you.

      Ah that's good news then.

To be honest I never watch the SkyHD anyway, so I would have to discuss it with Doris about that.

      Isn't there VirginHD though?

VM are testing HD channels at the moment ( about 8 channels to start with, ), so it shouldn't be long before they broadcast them for subscribers.

yeah you'll need a HD receiver like the 800HD or 8000HD or 500HD when it gets released

You can also go for the EX7000, there is currentlty 1 BBC hd but at the end of themonth there will be Nat Geo, Living, Eurosports, MTV, History and some others, I can now get Nat Geo & History in HD allthough they are listed as test channels
