Which cable box has the best picture?

Sorry if this has been asked before but the previous posts haven't given a definitive answer!

I have a Dreambox 500C and am delighted with all the channels I receive - can't complain there. Trouble is, the picture doesn't seem as sharp as the Sky + box attached to the TV - if I toggle through both boxes on the same channel, the Sky box wins hands down.

This must be down to the electronics in the Dreambox. I think it is genuine rather than a clone. I was wondering - what other boxes that can still be flashed with images might offer better picture quality?

Do you use an RGB capable scart socket at the TV?
Some tellies haves only one scart which is able to handle RGB.
The other one can only handle composite and that give worse picture quality.

You need an RGB capable scart socket at the TV, a good fully wired scart cable and you have to enable RGB in the video settings of the dreambox.

I find that my Eurovox EX5000 is actually a far better picture than the NTL Samsung Box I have by far.

My 500c has a great picture using RGB scart.. night football(UCL) and some films look DVD quality.. although my scart lead has a power issue and keeps flicking as if someone keeps hitting the scart channel button on remote so I switched to just plain old composite(yellow, red, white) and still pretty much a good pic overall... although unless its my imagination I do think some images have a better pic than others through composite

If your picture is as blurry/soft as you mention could be the box, out of all the boxes Ive been around they all have a pretty good pic and I also have S*Y running on RGB scart also and its not really any different from my 500c
