amiko mini combo

hi there..trying too set up a amiko mini combo(cable)..I've put frequency and symbol rate in..but level is showing 0% and quality is 6%..what am I doing wrong,,thx

Make sure you have the correct Freq + 6952 or 6887 + QAM. I used what I thought was the correct details for my area from forum lists. Ientered them and the signal showed 90odd% so scanned and found nothing so I checked with my Tivo box and the settings were nothing alike.

Once I entered the correct details and blind scan it found everything. ssp3-4 and F1 are listed as Channel A-B-C for now.

I have the Amiko HD T2/C , I found it abit arse over tit setting it up . No one gives a clear "how to" and it took the best part of 3 hrs asking and pressing ppl for info before I managed to set it up.

PRO's - Has youtube and potential for an IPTV, small , compact ,2 yrs free warranty

CONN's - set up not straight forward , too many little things you need to remember and do, remote makes a loud click noise when you press which annoys after a while like those clickers you use to have as a kid. FAVS & bouquets fiddly as fo*k to sort , ,but more worryingly , I thought the tuner was not the best made.picture ? , I got a bit of break up were as a diff box on the same feed the picture was fine. Thing is there ?50 so cheap and cheerful.
and Keano yes they come with that option

Q5 DVB HD for me, a tab dearer but far easier to set up and tuner fine.

I wont try put people off the box its purely my thoughts while running both the Q5 and the Amiko min HD T2/C side by side. some might disagree but that's what opinions are all about. I know some prefer the Amiko , I don't.

Great little hd box,when you no how to set it up once,the 2nd time takes 5 mins top,,, for ?49 you cant go wrong.

do you have any pic break up , , just slight blocking ? the Q5 was fine

No nothing,runs really smooth,remote responsive better than the icloud 3 box imho,

For around ?50 and a combo box- cheap as chips!

anybody not how to reset set the box without access too the menu..I've put a channel list on and its password'd..so now the box is useless

As a guess I'd say connect it using a null modem cable and flash the firmware to it.
