Miraclebox Premium cable/sat box

Hello I have just ordered a Miraclebox Premium with sat and cable tuners fitted from World of Sat, I should receive it on Tuesday
my last cable box was a starview so a totally different animal to the Miracle Box, and I am looking forward to having a play around with it as I also have a Solo2
I have done loads of searches but can not find a lot of information about it apart from the specs, and every one saying that it is a great box, I hope so
what size Hard Drive will it take I presume 2.5" I will be running vix Helios until the new Apolo operating system is ready as it will have Cable ABM as well as sat
I know that I will only be able to receive Free to Air on the cable even though I will have all the channels on the sat side (until Xmas at least)
But I am a Optimist and hope that I will be able to use my Fully Subscribed Virmin card in it One Day as my Tivo box Remote control & menu system is a total pain to use
I have noticed that the remote control of the Miracle Box is very similar to my Solo2's so I am over the moon as it is a joy to use
so all I can say now is roll on Tuesday

Not too burst the Bubble but you wont be able to use the official VM card in that receiver ever, They are hardware paired to the Tivo

Thanks for the confirmation digicon I thought as much,I suppose I was living in hope and it looks like I will have to invest in a Logitech Harmony 650 or 700 remote control
as the Tivo remote drives me nuts
whoever designed it wants shooting

almost forgot to ask do you know what size Hard Drive fits in the Miraclebox as I have a spare 1TB Samsung fitted in a External caddy doing nothing at the moment

Just wondered if you got the miracle box and what your impressions are, i was looking at buying the same model but can't find to much info from the user side of things. Have you managed to load cams etc and are all the usual pluggins there like tsmedia.

I have not set up my cams yet so only using it for free to air at the moment and not getting many cable channels although the sat side seems fine

Got mine yesterday and set it up, running sat and cable.. had to find netid and did the auto boquets for virmin and sly.. found everything. took me a while to find correct settings for the mg cam d thingy to work correctly, but got there in end.

no mate, i got the mini premium for ?159, not a bad little box for the money, had a gigablue hd running vix before hand, i bought the plugin bit to turn it into a dual tuner for both sat and cable but couldnt get it to work.. so thought i'd treat myself to a new box

Ah right, I looked at that myself then read some moaning winging geezer on about it been slower than it's bigger brother, you running VIX ?. I've had my VU+ DUO for a good while but I prefer the all in one sat/cable and get rid of a box n remote.

It's fast then my gigablue was at starting up, other then that its fine. Can you not get the dvb-t2 plug in for the vu duo's? yes i have the new vix apollo on it.
