Amiko mini combo setup help please

Just bought amiko mini combo but need some help setting it up. Cannot find a single channel. Think my symbol rate is 6887 or 6952 and modulation is qam256. I'm in Belfast area. Don't know which frequency to enter and blind scan picks up nothing. Any help appreciated this is driving me mad.

No mate no signal strength at all. Have a wee dreambox dm500c which works great and tried to take the settings from that but nothing.

honest , you need to find the correct freq , , , example , say mine was 602.000 and my DM500c worked fine, when I looked in my tivo (as I was told to do elsewere) I noticed the freq was trotally different , say 635.000 and the QAM was 64 and not 256. Once I entered these it scanned.
you def need to go into the settings of a subbed box and get the Freq/QAM off that. If you don't have a subbed box you need to ask a friend nrby/relative/neighbor who have a subbed and look at their settings.
Don't go off the settings list all over the net get it from a box.

No worries i'll take the settings from a proper VM box later and see if that works.

why dont u write down a frequency and QAM settings from your dm500c
and put them into your amiko and scan
as long as u have a live frequency correct qam and symbol rate it will find channels

              HAD THE PARTY LOL

The Pli image I used for my DM500C included a brute scan option which got me all my channels. I had it on last night and was randomly picking channels and looking at stream info and all seem to be SR6952 amd QAM256 but different frequencies?

my area is 531.000 QAM256, thats all over the net , listed every forum and I've used it in the past. So, I put this in the Amiko and hey presto ! full signal on both . I hit the brute force scan , 2 seconds later "0" channels found.

I look in my Tivo , it says ;- freq - 595.000 QAM64 .I enter this , , full signal on both, I hit the brute force scan 15 minutes later every channel appears.

I've put frequency and qam settings taken from a legit TiVo box and none are working. What am I doing wrong ?

on the amiko hdmini T2/C Theres a nit scan option, enable that if its there,..then blind scan and set your frequency low like 171.000,.. should search through the list

The blind scan doesn't work that great. When I scan on my dm500 it locks on at 155 and brings channels in no problem. Tried this frequency but no joy. Is there any way of importing my cable.xml file?
