Giga Quad cable tuners

Hi all was wondering if anyone is using the giga blue quad for cable as at present I am thinking of putting two cable tuners in my box.
does cable still receive the HD channels.

So all the pie ch are not affected as other Linux systems e.g sats can I pm you

dont have cable boxes but they are making a bigger return,cable and sat are 2 different ways of viewing same channels by different providers.

I'm running cable and sat together on a quad plus m8 I've just uploaded a channel list that has favorites for movies and the like that are part sat and part cable depending on what is working from where

Have received my cable tuner for my giga blue hd quad as I am trying to run sat and cable together thought I had a feed as I have broadband or am I wrong. is there a different method for setting up the tuner I only receive 12345 channels I thought I would get all the Freeview at least.

12345 is almost all the free channels you get with cable m8

I have placed my cable.xml file in ect\ tubox not sure if its the correct xml file for my area as I have read on other forums that they can change from area to area not sure how true that is.
every time I scan I get 0 channels don't know and cannot find net id for my area Oldham Manchester been going through each net id for Manchester but still no joy just cant put my finger on what I am doing wrong

Go to tuner config and set it to scan provider not frequency steps or anything else and choose vermin then hit automatic scan that should pick up all the channels.
Or if you are using vix or open atv use the auto bouquets maker that is already in the image that will sort it for you

Thanks for that but tried it and still no channels but done the automatic scan and copied all the frequency's it said was ok, had to manually put them in one by one found the only one that worked for me was 171mhz. but still not sure I have all the channels it says I have 456 channels.
