Got 1 wingin it's way to me, will let you know by the weekend if the "Miracle Premium mini COMBO twin sat/cable tuner" is any good. I have the Q5 DVB HD, a Amiko mini HD T2/C so I can give a true once for all comparison of the 3 new kids on the block:-
1) price
2) easy to set up
3) Quality of picture
4) Support ( all important)
and finally
5) final conclusion with a score out of 10 -
HI, i can already answer you thatGot 1 wingin it's way to me, will let you know by the weekend if the "Miracle Premium mini COMBO twin sat/cable tuner" is any good. I have the Q5 DVB HD, a Amiko mini HD T2/C so I can give a true once for all comparison of the 3 new kids on the block:-

1 - yes it costs more, because its enigma 2 box much more advanced then closed sourced boxes
2 - its not as easy to setup as the closed sourced boxes, but thats the fun in it, enigma 2 , can set up how ever you like and customize if your used to enigma 2 then wont have any problems
3 - picture quality is same
4 - its well supported , you can use different images, i very much like VIX images, best inbuilt EPG, great forum support , and its already got Autobouquet Maker for Cable as well as Sat, create a list for both in 2mins and in perfect order, no messing with scanning , thats the fun with Enigma 2 boxesComment

I have one and yes on the new vix apollo firmware has abm for cable and works fine, setting up the cable side took me a few hours as i hadn't use the mg_***. I put 1.38 on it, numerous configs and finally got it working perfectly, good little box for the money.
I had originally tried to turn my gigablue 800se into a cable and sat box but the cable part i got didnt work so i got a newer box insteadIf it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

Find your net id for cable side, then set this in you configs for abm you can do sly n cable boquets at same time. dead easy to set up.. i found if i opened the ............... list through ftp and edited it then i struggled as sometimes the changes didnt take effect, was better to have a ............... list on pc and make the changes on pc then drag the whole file across to usr/keys worked everytime, cable side most use ............ few use .......... but none like u using ........... so i kept ... for sly and ...... for cable, just swap and change the cam as required (only one will run at once i think)Last edited by digicon; 11 June, 2014, 10:28. 1) price
Amiko combo HD ?69 Amiko mini HD ?49 - Q5 DVB HD ?64.99 - Miraclebox Premium combo HD ?159
2) easy to set up
Q5 DVB HD the easiest
Amiko mini HD 2nd (does have youtube etc)
Amiko mini combo HD trickier (does have youtube etc)
Miraclebox combo mini HD hardest to set up but once done very clever box
3) Quality of picture
Miraclebox good quality on both sat and cable
all the other 3 very much on par with each other
4) Support ( all important)
Miraclebox runnig VIX light years ahead
Amiko does have regular FW updates
Q5 DVB HD also has updates but if it's not broken dont fix it.
and finally
5) final conclusion with a score out of 10[/QUOTE]
Miraclebox HD combo 9/10
Q5 DVB 8/10 (purely on ease of set up)
Amiko hd boxes 7/10 are abit trickier and need certain files to be rewrtten if using USB.
If you are new to boxes go for the Q5 DVB HD, easy to set up
if you have some previous experience then Amiko needs abit more doings to get it up and running
If you want a good quality box with regular updates and thing like youtube and IPTV then the Miraclebox.Comment

i would have thought a 800se with c tuner would be one of the easiest if your used to engima 2? maybe not?with the pound being strong at the moment at about 120 deliveredLast edited by blueflash234; 12 June, 2014, 02:03.Comment

Do any of these run the cable side in HD.
I've been looking at the Miracle box with the additional Hybrid DVB-C/T/T2, but I assumed this
is SD cable or HD Freeview.Comment

Easiest box must be the Dreambox 800hd. Nearly all sat enthusiasts have used one or own one and all you need to do is swap the tuner over and change a couple of things.
