I think you should read a few threads there is quite a bit of info on most boxes. It's all down to your budget as it can range from ?50 to ?500

you've a fair old choice with a ?250 budget. Weigh up what you need either a cable box or a sat box/cable combo, how easy it's to set up , how much you know about boxes and setting them up from scratch and how much time you wanna be staring at a monitor reading and pulling your hair out trying to figure out why it wont work.

Me personally, I like the Q5 DVB HD, its pretty easy to set up and if you just want to watch HD TV then it fits the bill. It's also the right price, no frills and does as it says on the tin. FAVS need setting up but there's plenty of people sharing their set up file FAVS all in order.
Some people will beg to differ ..................

I also need to migrate across from the world of satellite so also considering which box to buy but I'm thinking of going down the combi route.

I already have my TV and broadband from vermin.

If anyone could kindly pm me any suggestions I'd be very grateful.

Hi, new to this. Does a cable box just connect to your vermin router? Just ordered a Q5 box. And do you still need to buy a s** off somebody? Sorry for jacking your thread.

All you need is live feed and bb and your away but its just the same as sat regarding channels.
Cant say a lot more without getting my wrist slapped.
