virgin type box 300 channels on mmds?

I spoke to a guy today who told me a friend of his got a virgin type box (i assume he meant cable) he says the guy is living in a village near me and he is using this box on mmds and he is getting 300 channels. I am very skeptical about this..........i asked him what type of box it was but he didnt know....can someone explain why this is possible or impossible......the latter i think?

You cannot get 300 channels on MMDS due to bandwidth restrictions. More than likely he is taking about a Sat system.

as far as i know there isnt any virgin boxes on mmds,he must have freesat or something

Most people on mmds get less than 100 channels, i doubt very much he could be on mmds.
