if you just want the connection into the back room then just get the appropriate length of cable and extend directly from the main box attached to the wall (First Photo)

if you want to keep one in the front room and run a spare in the back room then buy a Cable splitter preferably one that just does the 5-1000mhz range

so would that bit go onto the end of the box and then the side with the pin goes into receiver?

          Code:

if your buying both say the splitter and the extension cable then you dont need the 'F' con barrel connector.

you will need a short piece of cable from the VM main feed box on the wall connected to a splitter then 2 separate cables from each output on the splitter going to required rooms

as look on the box it has a hole in so which side goes where ? will the side with no pin fit on there and then the other on the receiver. aIMG_1987.JPGs on the pic on the link : BLACK 20m Coaxial Satellite Extension Cable - Sky Virgin TiVO Superhub Freesat | eBay

ah right I understand. so if I was to use the splitter add the splitter onto the cable (on the pics) then add the other cable to the other bit?

actually I will use the splitter as it may come in handy so might as well use it from the off.

so I will add the splitter onto the cable (as shown in pics) then add the extension to the splitter ends? correct

if your just using a long extension cable as i previously posted you do not need the Barrel connector it unscrews from the end revealing 2 F connectors or both ends with 'Pins'

screw one directly into the wall connection and the other into your box job done

makes sense ! so if using the splitter il add the splitter on to the cable which I already have connected to box, correct

No! stick to a splitter with a 5-1000mhz range no need to go any higher
