Amino Mini HD TC/2 Picture Quality Issue

So regardless of the channel I'm watching there seems to be a lot of blocky pixelation. No really sure what the proper name of the problem would be but it's similar to when you get bad weather on satellite.

I have no issue's when using a Vermin box.

    Anyone got any ideas?

if you put a splitter on would that not reduce the signal by about -3db some one with more knowledge may know if it would work

Yes, its already on a splitter. Are you saying to use one to reduce the signal strength or tha
t it needs to be increased?

My signal is 99% quality 90%

as with the early kv850 that had a signal level issue and people were told to use a variable attenuator to decrease signal.

For under ?4 a unit its worth a try, i'll wait for my two new boxes to arrive tomorrow hopefully the box i have now is faulty. Quite a headache this... Im also not getting failed scans and missing channels, every scan returns a different number.

              Very annoying!!

I'd like to bet you've bruteforced scanned then your viewing a channel were there's probably 4 channels named the same. Look at the frequency details of that particular channel and you might find it something like this 405.975 rather than something like 406.000 which means it's slightly off.

If it is then delete that channel or scan with your correct freq. The freqs that's knockin about are sometimes wrong. Get the correct freq from a subbed box . I had this problem and it wouldn't find a thing off the freq that's mentioned in forums, , ,when I checked off a tivo it was complete different.

Thanks for the advice, i did about 4 scans one after the other and have a couple dupes but so far so good. I'll have to test on some more channels.

is there a list anywhere which has the correct frequencies?

do channels change frequencies like they do on sat?

get the freq off a subbed then your 100% sure it reet. if you've not get it off a friend or ask on here for the correct one for your area. mine use to be 530.000 or something. When I scanned I got nothing so I looked in my tivo and it was 595.000

oh and delete all channels before you scan with the correct freq or you will be back in the boat

Wigan says 531.000 thats wrong it's now 595.000 if you search on 531.000 you get nothing netid and QAM are the same, I'm not sure what others are right and wrong that's why I said check on a subbed box.
