    Net ID Not Always Needed

    The net ID is not always needed to find channels try to set your tuner up with the following settings and let the tuner do the work for you. If there is no VM in providers use cable uk or similar to scan.

    EXTRA NOTE WHEN I SAID NET ID NOT ALWAYS NEEDED ITS NOT NEEDED TO FIND CHANNELS HOWEVER YOU DO NEED TO ENTER IT TO CLEAR ALL YOUR CHANNELS IF YOUR BOX HAS NOT SELECTED IT FOR YOU AFTER SCAN GO THROUGH AUTO BOQUETS MAKER VIX IMAGE OR THE IMAGE YOU USE IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR NET ID GO THROUGH EACH ONE FOR YOUR AREA THE CHANNELS WILL CLEAR WHEN YOU HAVE THE CORRECT ONE. (SORRY FOR SHOUTING)

      Providor to scan does not give a virmin media option here and thats on a Smirnoff backup..............

          does on mine m8 vix image appollo 14 giga blue HD quad haven't looked at my DM800 HD so might not be on that box!

          Did you sort your tuner problem out I was banging my head against the wall with mine found out was a driver in the vix image once updated mine worked great.

              It's working at last.

              No Virmin option but there is a cable uk one that works.

              Nice one buddy.

              Just need to find one thing now i.e the thing we can't mention.

                          what box m8 I believe the way above it does all that for you just go into tuner config and do as above to get all your channels then use autoboquets maker and go through each net id for your area until you get your channels to clear I found that the easiest way unless you know the correct id for sure.

                          if any one knows an easier way without net id or channel.xml please let us know.
                          as a lot of people are now going from sat to cable.

                                      just do it as above but select cable.uk in providers you can put in your cable provider in if you know it. net ids as above.

                                      this is all done via tuner settings
