    Cable Signal

Hi Guys, When I was with VM I had issues with signal. VM came and side the signal was weak. He then said has moved me up on the tap in the box.

    1. He installed a Forward Path Equaliser 8DB from the Cable into the house and then he provided me with a ESI-04N 4 Way Splitter with 2 x 7.3db output and 2 x 7.3db output. He also said use a TRIS-1002l Fully isolate outlet for each connection

The issue I am having is if the split the signal I am losing channels.

I then brought a Kong 4 way Splitter 5-2400Mhz and removed the forward patch Equaliser but if split the signal to another remove I have channel issues.

What the best ways to get signal to 2 other rooms

Try here m8 I believe there's a link for signal booster and information you may find helpful and invest in good splitters not ?1.99 for two off eBay as I learnt.

Kong 4 way Splitter is a very good splitter. I know my signal is strong because there is a Forward Path Equaliser 8DB. Do I remove it and install TRIS-1002l Fully isolate outlet and then use a Kong Amp to then the Kong 4 way Splitter

I am presuming you have bb with vm usually Forward Path Equaliser 8DB It adjusts the power of certain frequencies reaching the modem.
vm have different services using one cable and if one of these are too strong it can interfere with the others.
You use an equaliser to equalise the strength of these signals.
It is a little more complicated than that but that is it in a nutshell.

I would remove this and place it in the cable to the modem and go from there as you may find your signal will increase then measuring your signal I believe for every splitter outlet you lose 3db per splitter I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

but I would put my amp after a two way splitter to my main splitter to my boxes so as not to affect my modem.
I cannot understand why the engineer never fitted TRIS-1002l to your splitters if you needed them.
if you have a strong signal as you say you should be fine. but I would still test the signal at each stage with a meter.
The best person to ask would be Digicon he would give you a more definitive answer as I am still learning myself.

I am not running BB. the TRIS-1002I think it stops electric stock down the line.

So if I don't have BB can I just remove the Forward Path Equaliser 8DB and connect the cable feed to my Kong amp and then to my Kong 4 way Splitter

            Yes

as far as I know its a frequency filter and reduces signal if you don't have BB at all you will only receive approx. 5 channels as you will not clear channels "if feed is still live". I would remove all filters test what reception you get and if needed put the amp just before the splitter if needed or which ever line is glitching an adjust accordingly.
