dm500c cant see channels

hi all. newbie to this but pickin it up kinda fast i think.
problem is that i cannot seem to see any non fta channels.
i have spent around 4 hours between last night and today looking over threads and there are others with similar problems yet i still have no resolution.
firstly i have been using the dk image v 1.1
i can connect and transfer files to and from the dreambox
i follow all instructions to a tee from the spoonfed newbies to the how to ftp the "fix"
done all that. i turn to sp1 hold the info button restart cam but get nothing on the screen.
i can see whats on in the tv guide but just a blck screen when trying to watch. i thought it may be that i needed the latest keys so installed ones that were posted by a member 2 weeks ago but still the same problem.
if i do require the latest keys from today, can someone please point me in the right direction as to where to get them. my box is not normally net connected so havent tried any satan updaters or the likes.
i realise its probably somethin a bit silly giving me the problems but i just need some direction.

also, i know of someone who uses a different box and has an image that does not require keys. would this image work on the dm500c?
think his was called "lack of silence" he also mentioned a commando image. any of these do me?

commando image is most likely for a dbox2. when you transfer the roms over which folder are you putting them in??
Also if your image has more then 1 cam try starting the other cam, go to bbc1 channel let it clear, then go to sky sports 1 and see if it clears. if it does switch you cam back to evocamd. cams are normally accessed via the blue button

roms are for the scce folder i think. tryion to remember off the top of ma head here. i followed the instructions of the newbie guide. made sure the files went into the var folder and not the var init. only have one cam installed will try the switching to bbc thing.

The DK 11 image is fine for DM500c. Commando is for d-box.
You could look around for a full working image for your area, but you would
be better to master this now, as future fixes will be required.
For UK ; nagrarom fix 29/11/2008, put all files in correct folders,say yes to
overwrite when asked.
For N*L (EIRE) N2 fix july 2009
You must start Hypercam in tuxbox if you don't make hypercam default
If you come back for help give location & fix used.

and in the scce folder i have the three number 7 bin files.


cant seem to get my box working. could you tell me which files you have in these folders so i have something to compare to?

hi krazylegs, i looked at your link to help for the 500c cam help.i may be getting this wrong. in the rapidshare download, when i un rar the file then it doesnt have any bin files in it. do i still transfer the files from the scce folder from rapidshare to the scce on dm500 then add the bin7 files that are posted elsewhere? then also add and overwrite the files from the rapidshare "keys" folder to MY keys folder in the dreambox?
sorry if i sound a bit thick with all this but i thought i had followed everything before and have had no joy. just looking to be certain,
