    Going from Sat to Cable

Hi, i was just going to order a VU+ Solo2 a week before HD went off luckily i held off abit.
Now after recent events i want to go into cable now but dont know what receiver to get.
Took me ages to decide on the solo 2,
Do VU+ do cable receivers aswell as i want to use the vix image and because of the support available for the boxes.
Need record 1 and watch another + HD.

Obviously for free to air purposes....

You won't get HD fta on cable (but we know what you mean) Why opt for cable only when you can buy a gigablue quad plus for around the same price as a solo2 which has twin sat tuners and two plug and play slots for cable tuners. You should be able to get it for around the same price as the solo2 with 2 cable tuners included and it runs the same chipset as the solo2 with all the same specs except for one which is, that it doesn't have an internal fan. Support is available by vix, openatv and openmips among others. I have mine running on openatv and it hasn't missed a beat so far (about 4 months)

Gig blue all the way no contest best of both worlds and versatile.
