Recording 1 while watching 1 on Miraclebox cable?

Do we need a twin tuner box for the record 1 and watch 1 feature on cable?
On satelite you need 2 tuners.
Need to know this before i decide on a twin tuner or a single tuner.
Would prefer 1 sat 1 cable tuner in a single box.

Like on tivo it only has 1 cable going in but you can record multiple channels

if you get a sat/cable and you can run both then your fine . record cable and watch anything on the sat side of things.

    Miraclebox works good for that.

If the other channel is on the same transponder, then ok, but if it's on another then the answer is YES !! you'll need three tuner's....2 cable and 1 sat. I'm running 2 cable and 2 sat tuner's at the moment..was three sat not long ago...not sure what your box is capable of as mines a DM8000 = 2 sat + 2 others. Hope this helps.

Think that is either 2 x cable or 2 x terrestrial HD(aerial which we get on TV anyway) or a mix of either, but no sat.......so with that one you can record and watch another...cable only...no sat.

Reckon you might need a box that has more than 2 tuners......C/T is one tuner, but capable of either cable or terrestrial....not both at once.

Might be worth looking at this....GiGaBlue HD QUAD+ PLUS....it's more expensive but...2 x sat and you can add 2 x cable tuners or 3/4 sat tuners...just like my DM8000 but a lot cheaper.
Sat & Cable...swings and roundabouts...best of both worlds with a box like this. HD on sat is gone but......

When and if cable goes tit's up, as has done before and everyone went Sat..it was a new box, with a box like this you only need to swap tuners
