funcard info

first let me say i know nothing about cable
i need info on this do you need to set the rom
on a funcard file, a mate asked me if i could help
i told him i would ask. he has all the correct info
and has no problem making a ext epp image file for the
funcard 4 and he has the correct flash, but when he
checked the image with nagraedit v4.1 he says he see's
a panel that the rom can be changed, does this need changing
and if yes to what, thanks for any help,i just hope i have this
lot posted correctly and it makes sense

a .bn10 (rom10) or a .bn11 (rom11) image can be read in nagraedit but his exteep is
a .bin ext (nagraedit will only read half of a .bin so that is why he is being asked to change rom type)
so he needs to get a prog called "swapbinhex" and drag his .bin file
over it and it converts to a HEX file
then wit his proggy software load up flash and exteep, write exteep first
then write flash and that should be it..
