i am thinkin of getting a eurovox 7000 h/d box ?170 do you think its worth it with nagra 3 on the way or should i stick with the box ive got.

There has been no proof that Virgin are going Nag 3, cable does not need that sort of encryption as it can be encrypted at source, IPTV is the way virgin are going. I thought about a new box myself but I may hold off as there is a lot of speculation about, anyway after three months it would have paid for itself and I cannot see anything happening that fast yet. As for the box to get HD Freesat & Freeview will soon have a lot more channels as agreed by Ofcom.

We have to remember that any Nagra be it 1,2 or 3 can only be emulated if we open the ROM card and get the keys/

OK on N2/3 we have diff sets of BC tables and other sets of keys and extra MAP areas but all can be emulated on any box given an open card.

All the boxs programmed correctly ( as long as we can code it up ) can emulate any version of nagra given a dump of the ROM.

but as u know Mr Spark, anyone who dumps a n3 card aint gonna make the keys public
or share a dump for that matter
how big a difference are the bc between n2 and 3
as I have heard they are similar or possibly the same
