Try sticking a thread up asking people with a secondhand one to pm you. Should be lots of them around.

They stopped making Dreambox 500's , so any you find will be clones.
The Dreambox 600 has the facility for a Hard drive, so it can be a PVR as well
There are 600 clones out there as well. they are a lot cheaper, but some images will kill them (and the 500's).
              Personally i bought a genuine DM600T

                This ( DM600T ) is an mmds box for cho$&@ , yes.
If so ,Then it sounds like the kind of box I'm after, as the PVR
                would be class .

ive a digivox t find nothing wrong with it what do ya find so bad about them

the eurovox t aint been made anymore so support is limited if ya pick up a secondhand one

also ya should take into account chorus could do like what ntl did (and i think they will) and chnage to nagra 2 so i wouldnt splash out on an expensive box

theres a file for the digivox t which sorts all your channels out ie sports are together movies are together and music is together if thats your problem with them

some boxes you can get swappable tuners,so if the crap happens and they move from a t box to a c box you can swap tuners yourself, and you can also get a sat tuner but then you need a dish for that.

DM600 can have either cable, sat, or terrestrial tuner very easily swapped around...and whatever image is on the box will do for any of the above
also u can fit a hard drive for recording....ive got 2 DM600's with 160g hdd
installed and very happy with them

also u could go for an itgate that are similar with the same features and were one of the first boxes fixed for n2.....so if n3 hits hard they will probably be
one of the first ones with a fix released again....ill be gettin one myself at some point
